Third Prime Four project in Aberdeen
/Annandale Design will design, manufacture and install a significant six-figure metalwork package at the Prime Four business park at Kingswells.
The Kilmarnock based fabrication and specialist metalworkers has been appointed by construction company Sir Robert McAlpine to Lloyd’s Register Group’s (LR) new energy headquarters.
The appointment is the third metalwork project at the Prime Four business park Annandale Design has been involved in, following on from their work at Plot 7’s Statoil and Plot 9’s Anderson Anderson Brown facilities. The substantial LR project includes the design, manufacture and installation of the steel escape stairs and balustrading to the main office and multi story carpark, as well as bespoke balustrades throughout the project.
LR is the latest energy services company to select the Prime Four business park at Kingswells as the location for its North East Scotland operations. The 100,000 square feet purpose built office complex will have capacity for up to 900 employees, with the global engineering, technical and business services organisation, taking a 15-year tenancy at the park from September 2017.
Operations Director of Annandale Design, Graeme Frew commented, ‘We are delighted to have been appointed to deliver our third metalwork package at the Prime Four business park for Lloyds Register’s new energy headquarters. This appointment comes during significant growth in Aberdeen for us, with current projects including Statoil and Anderson Anderson Brown’s Prime Four facilities as well as other recent appointments in the energy capital.
David Rice, Project Manager of Prime Four said, “Annandale Design has proven to be a superb choice for the Prime Four development, with the company now working on three separate plots at the business park. The Annandale Design team has continually delivered a very high quality of work, on time and to an excellent standard of safety performance. We have no doubt we will be working with Annandale Design again in the near future.”
